We are a fast growing, financially secure software company currently in need of a Product Specialist for our Technical Support Team.
This position is located in our Burlington, MA headquarters.
In this position you will be a key player in ensuring that Charles River Development's installed base of customers is optimizing their use of our products especially in the areas of database administration, batch processing, performance management, upgrading, etc. You will leverage your experience in selected technical areas to troubleshoot problems with, and provide issue resolution for the Charles River Trading and Compliance systems in a wide variety of customer deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate incoming phone and email requests for issue resolution and requests for product information
- Provide phone and email technical consultancy to trouble shoot customer issues and answer customer questions
- Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using the available resources within the company
- Effectively manage and prioritize your case load
- Extract technical and functional information from closed cases and develop resolution summaries for use by internal staff and customers
- Visit customers on-site as required to resolve advanced issues. Typical engagements are one to two days maybe once per quarter
Requirements:
- Minimum BS degree required. A technical degree is preferred.
- Exposure in portfolio management and trading system applications is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Tenacity to drive issues to resolution
You should have knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Database concepts and SQL including system administration and performance tuning
- Conceptual understanding of N-tier application architecture
- Programming experience in a modern structured language
- UNIX, Linux, or MS Server operating system environments
