Product Update: Expanded Integration with Thomson Reuters

The Charles River Market Data Interface (Charles River MDI) provides Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) clients with integrated market and reference data from leading industry providers, including Thomson Reuters. We recently expanded our integration with Thomson Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) to deliver real-time market and reference data across asset classes.

“We’ve had integration with Thomson Reuters for many years, as well as with 14 other data providers,” said Tom Driscoll, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Charles River Development. “Our enhanced partnership with Thomson Reuters provides Charles River IMS clients with an excellent integrated data alternative.”

The integration supports both local desktop and Citrix deployments, and gives Charles River IMS clients direct access to Thomson Reuters’ streaming real-time market data from 50 premium low latency venues, in addition to more than 300 markets. For reference data, clients can now perform intra- and end-of-day updates to new and existing securities, with access to pricing and corporate actions data for multiple asset classes across 125 countries. This includes contributed pricing from over 600 sources and 131 exchanges, as well as fixed income evaluated pricing for over 1.8 million US and global securities.

Clients can access real-time market data via Thomson Reuters Data Feed (RDF), Bridge or One ILX directly in Charles River IMS, which also supports market data snapshots throughout the trade lifecycle. For reference data, Charles River IMS integrates with Thomson Reuters DataScope Select – automatically performing end-of-day updates to new and existing securities. Clients can run security updates throughout the day, creating and updating securities ‘on-the-fly.’ Reference data covers multiple asset classes, including: equities; funds; derivatives; and foreign exchange; as well as fixed income instruments (i.e., governments, corporate, convertibles, high-yield, municipals, asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities).

Charles River IMS also supports context-sensitive navigations to the Thomson Reuters 3000 Xtra Terminal. Directly in the Charles River Trader Blotter, clients can create custom navigations for specific securities information, such as: news; prices; charts; analytics; and time series.
